The Challenge

Alcoa Fastening Systems set out to grow its presence in several key markets, including railcars, locomotives, trucks, trailers, and shipbuilding. Alcoa’s most ambitious target was the automotive industry – notorious for being hard to reach. Our marketing plan had to address industry-specific problems and be compelling enough to capture the attention of automotive design engineers.

To reach automotive design engineers, Triad created a direct mailer engineered for impact: a compact box with installed lockbolt samples, usage guidance, performance advantages, and educational content tailored to auto applications.

The campaign delivered standout results, with several Alcoa lockbolts ultimately specified for the newest Ford F-150 platform.
